Incorporated in 1991, NESS is a private company that
utilized the technology of surface
neuromuscular electrical stimulation to develop solutions for activating paralysed muscles. Its
first product is the NESS H200 (formerly The Handmaster)
- a revolutionary non-invasive system for paralysed hands. The NESS L300 is
an innovative device for gait rehabilitation and treatment of dropfoot.
Today NESS is continuing to develop innovative rehabilitation products
that focus on altered movement or paralysis due to disorders and trauma of the
central nervous system, or due to orthopaedic disorders. NESS systems are
designed for home use and provide the potential for both therapeutic benefits
and enhanced function by means of surface neuromuscular electrical
stimulation.
The NESS team includes experts in biomedical engineering,
rehabilitation medicine, physical and occupational therapy, as well as
electrical and mechanical engineering. All of them are dedicated to pursuing
technological innovations that offer superior clinical benefits while helping to

NESS markets the NESS H200 in Israel, in the USA and in the
Netherlands. The European office of NESS in the Netherlands
coordinates activities in Europe. While NESS Nederland BV is marketing NESS
in the Netherlands. Bioness Inc., a joint venture between NESS and the Alfred E.
Mann group, is NESS' distributor in the USA.
