Clinical research
Introduction
Extensive research into the effects of electrical stimulation using the NESS H200 has been carried out. This research has taken place both in the chronic phase, where patients had already finished their regular rehabilitation, and in the (sub)acute phase. In order to make differences between the treatment groups clear, research in the later group was conducted in a controlled manner.
Nature and seriousness of the complaint

Patients with central neurological disorders may develop various complaints. However, the nature and seriousness of those complaints vary per patient. A number of frequently occurring complaints are:

  1. increased muscle tone
  2. reduced active and passive range of motion
  3. various complications including pain, oedema, contractures, etc.
  4. reduced functionality and/or function.

These aspects may be positively influenced by treatment. Extensive research has been carried out into the treatment of these complaints with the NESS H200.
